Meat 200g (cut into cubes)
Green Capsicum 1 (chopped)
Tomato 2 (peeled and sliced)
Garlic 2 cloves (minced)
Tomato paste 1 tablespoon
Olive oil

Seven spices 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste

In today’s episode, Chef Intissar and Miza (@miza_vlog), a skillful content creator, are cooking a delicious vegetarian meal for our crowd to devour for iftar.

 

A simple yet tasty way of cooking okra; Bamyeh.

Instructions:

In a pot add some oil and meat. Cook the meat until half done, then, add all the vegetables; onions, capsicum, garlic, and tomatoes. Stir for a while for the vegetable to turn soft. Add a tablespoon of tomato paste to the meat, combine well, and cover with a lid. Meanwhile, in another pot, pour in some oil and add both, rice and vermicelli. Pour in water and bring to boil. While this boils, add okra to the meat mixture and stir so the okra is covered in the sauce. Season the okra and meat with paprika, seven spices, salt, and coriander powder. Let it cook until okra is soft. Plate it out with rice and serve hot.
