Why we deliver fresh to home products that you will love

We deliver fresh to home products, easily and conveniently. Traditional knowledge and customs are very important in the United Arab Emirates and that applies to how we raise our food too. We are the coming together of different Arabian groups, some of whom, residing along our coasts, have been fishermen for centuries and others, inland and nomadically, have practiced animal husbandry, mainly with camels, sheep and goats. These two lifestyles are connected by one specific specialized skill: drying fish caught on the coast to then transport it to the interior, extending its shelf life and portability. In the deserts and mountainous regions themselves, the meat (and milk) of camels have long been staples. We tap into that deep well of surf and sand expertise when we produce our top quality meat (camel or otherwise) and seafood (from here and abroad).
Fishing in the Persian Gulf has a long history and as such a wealth of tried and true methods. One traditional, and of course still used, fishing practice was the building of hadhra or traps laid perpendicularly to the shore to dizzy the fish in their maze-like layout and trap them in the shallows when the tide eventually pulled out. In deeper waters from boats as well as from shore, another traditional method is the use of the gargour, or baited basket traps. You may have seen their eye-catching dome shapes near fishing boats along our shoreline. A third option still used today are our traditional nets, called al salia.
Traditions, of course, evolve, and the United Arab Emirates is an eminently modern country. We no longer subsist on sundried fish and the occasional camel meat meal butchered, roasted and consumed with little to no additions on the spot. We are now connected to all the other countries in the world and the rich variety they can offer our tables and our palate. The 21st century has also brought with it the luxury of pre-processed foods ready for instant consumption, some of which are already prepared with spices and sauces to make your life that much easier. Why spend the time putting together a kubbeh balls when we have them premade ready to fry and enjoy or marinated shish tawook to keep the prep for your cookout to a minimum? We can also freeze, instead of salt, our fish, making it easy to make healthy food choices.
