Instructions:
Cut the chicken into pieces and add to hot water while on the stove. Meanwhile, prepare the spices and vegetables in a bowl; bay leaves, carrots, celery, mastic, cardamom, black pepper, onion, garlic cloves, and cinnamon stick. Add this mix to the boiling chicken. Season the stew with cinnamon powder, white pepper, and salt. Mix well and let it cook. On the other hand, take a pan, add some oil and fry the nuts until slightly brown, then keep aside. In another pot, add butter, chopped onion, and fry them for a while. Add the minced beef to the mixture and cook until it takes on color. Add bay leaves, cinnamon powder, white pepper, and boiled rice. Mix it all well. Add 3 cups of stew from the chicken pot to the rice mixture and let it cook until the water evaporates. Once the rice is done, plate it out, top it up with the chicken (shredded). Lastly, sprinkle some nuts all over for the crunch and garnish with parsley.
Serve with yogurt for a tasty combination!
