In today’s episode, Lady Spatula along with Rheema from Littlemenon_momma has cooked up a middle-eastern comfort food that is devoured by most of us. It sure will satisfy your tastebuds!
Let’s bring a twist to your regular spaghetti with a hint of yogurt. Bringing you the oh-so-delicious Arabian spaghetti from Food Crowd’s Ramadan kitchen to your iftar menu; Yogurt Spaghetti, popularly known as “Macarona bil Laban.”
Instructions:
In a pan add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and let it heat for a while. Add your chopped onions to the hot oil. Once the onions are slightly brown, add the minced meat, mix from time to time until the meat cooks. To the meat mixture add the tomato paste and some salt. Combine well. On the other hand, pour some olive oil into your boiled pasta to keep it from sticking. In another pan add 2 tablespoons of olive and a handful of pinenuts. Meanwhile, the pinenuts saute, take a bowl and add yogurt, minced garlic clove, and some salt, mix well and keep aside. In a dish, layer the pasta, then drizzle a generous amount of yogurt, top it up with meat and pinenuts.
